--SS Adrian Wilson practiced Monday and expects to play against the Panthers.

--TE Jim Dray appeared to be the only player to miss Monday's practice because of injury. Dray was riding an exercise bike during the portion open to reporters. He has a strained pectoral muscle.

--DL David Carter, a sixth round pick, will be the backup nose tackle behind Dan Williams. Carter also received some work at end in the final preseason game.

--CB Patrick Peterson, the fifth overall pick, likely will start against the Panthers. He could also return punts, something he did in the preseason.

--CB A.J. Jefferson, who made the team last year as an undrafted rookie, is expected to start opposite of Peterson.
