--In 2010, the Cardinals traded Anquan Boldin and a fifth-round pick to the Ravens for third- and fourth-round selections. With that third-round pick, the Cardinals took receiver Andre Roberts. They dealt one of their two fourth-round picks to the Jets for safety Kerry Rhodes and drafted O'Brien Schofield with the other.
--In his first three games, Kevin Kolb completed 62.5 percent of his passes. In the last three, he's completed 53.6.
Kolb said after the Steelers game that he was making progress. Coach Ken Whisenhunt wasn't ready to go that far. "When you have lost five games in a row, I don't think anybody is progressing at the rate we need," he said. "I think you're naive if you say that. I'm not saying Kevin is naive to say that. Kevin has made progress in some areas, but I think all know there have been some plays he's left out there."
--Reserve linebackers O'Brien Schofield and Sam Acho played more snaps last week than they have all season. "Me and Sam got a chance to get out there and just play some ball, man," Schofield said. "In football, you need a rhythm. It's hard when you come in for one play, or you come in for three plays then you don't play again for two quarters.
"As a pass rusher, you can't be out there one play and expect you're going to get a sack. A pass rusher has to set guys up. You have to go out there and feel out what they're doing to you."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "We're a team in search of 'it.' That's on all of us. It's no group in particular, it's no person in particular. It's us. Does it suck, losing? Well, yeah. Losing sucks, but you have to come back to work and work even harder at it." -- Tight end Jeff King.
BY THE NUMBERS: 53.6 -- That's Kevin Kolb's completion percentage in the last three games. He completed 62.5 percent of his passes in the first three.
SERIES HISTORY: 5th regular-season meeting. Ravens lead series, 3-1. The Ravens have won the last three games, but the teams haven't played since 2007. That was Ken Whisenhunt's first season as coach. Matt Leinart started at quarterback in that game, but the Cardinals used backup Kurt Warner to run a no-huddle attack at times. The Ravens won, 26-23, on a late field goal that was set up by a personal foul call on Adrian Wilson. Wilson was penalized for hitting tight end Todd Heap, now a teammate. Replays showed the hit was legal, but the penalty helped set up the winning score.
