Cardinals: Latest News, Notes & Injuries

Kevin Kolb is likely out, John Skelton is likely in again while Beanie Wells should also play.

--QB Kevin Kolb told a Philadelphia radio station he could identify some of the Eagles' plays in their two-minute offense. Kolb, who is injured, was on the Cardinals sideline shouting to his defensive teammates. "During the two-minute drill, you almost feel guilty," Kolb said, according to "Mike's (Vick) sitting there giving the signals, and I'm standing there on our sidelines, screaming at our corners, 'Hey it's a go ball, hey he's running a screen, hey he's running a slant.'"

--The Cardinals (3-6) are five games behind the 49ers in the NFC West, but coach Ken Whisenhunt isn't conceding the division to his rival. "I'm not giving up," he said. "I'm not giving up. If we play like we played the last two weeks, we got a chance."

--WR Early Doucet was shocked as a rookie four years ago when he saw some of the catches Larry Fitzgerald made in practice. But not more. "After being with him for four years, I have gotten used to seeing him be a playmaker."

--QB Kevin Kolb is not likely to play because of an injured right foot suffered three weeks ago. Kolb has turf toe, sprained ligaments in the mid-foot and a bone bruise. He has increased his work in rehab but has not practiced.

--QB John Skelton is expected to get his third start of the season Sunday in Philadelphia. Skelton threw for a personal high of 315 yards and three touchdowns against the Eagles.

--RB Beanie Wells was limited again in practice this week but should be able to play through a knee injury.

--TE Todd Heap has missed most of the past five games with a hamstring injury. He might miss a sixth this week.

--FB Anthony Sherman hasn't played much in two weeks because of an ankle injury. He should see more time this week.

--TE Rob Housler practiced on Thursday for the first time since a groin injury in Baltimore on Oct. 30. Housler might be another week from returning, however.

--OLB Joey Porter remains out after undergoing knee surgery two weeks ago.
