--RB Beanie Wells rushed for a franchise-record 228 yards in the victory over the Rams. Wells had 27 carries and broke runs of 71 and 53 yards, the longest of his career.
--OLB Sam Acho added two sacks against the Rams, giving him five in the past six games. Acho took over the starting job from the injured Joey Porter, who had six sacks in 22 games with the team.
--TE Todd Heap was active and played more snaps than he has in nearly two months. Heap was used mainly as a blocker and did not have a pass thrown his way.
--QB Kevin Kolb was inactive for the fourth consecutive game because of an injured foot. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said there was some thought about making Kolb the backup against the Rams, but he ruled against it because it would have been hard for Kolb to warm up after standing for a long period.
--QB John Skelton is 3-1 as a starter this season but he has not played well the last two weeks. He is struggling with his accuracy, most often missing high. He targeted Larry Fitzgerald nine times, completing just three.
