John Brown's Biggest Catch

Rookie WR John Brown has developed a knack for making big catches and his biggest came on Sunday.

Add another riveting chapter to John Brown's bio.

The Cardinals receiver caught a 75-yard touchdown pass on third-and-5 late in the game Sunday to give Arizona a 24-20 victory over Philadelphia.

Brown played his first year of college ball at Mars Hill University in 2008 but missed 2009 because of academic troubles. In 2010, he was enrolled at Coffeyville Community College but sat out after his half-brother, James, was shot and killed.

Two years away from the game didn't slow Brown, who enrolled at Pittsburg State and set school records for catches (185) and yards (3,387). The first time he touched the ball at the school, he returned a punt 84 yards for a touchdown. The Cardinals picked him in the third round of this year's draft.

And now, he has a highlight-reel play in the NFL. He slipped behind Eagles defensive backs Cary Williams and Nate Allen, to catch an arching throw from Carson Palmer, then outsprinted the DBs to the end zone for what stood up as the winning points.
