The 1974 team finished 10-4 and lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the playoffs.

The team was coached by Don Coryell and featured an offense that included quarterback Jim Hart, guard Conrad Dobler, running back/return specialist Terry Metcalf and receiver Mel Gray. The defense featured future Hall of Famers Dan Dierdorf and Roger Wehrli.
