Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has been named the new head coach of the New York Jets.
Bowles' injury-riddled defense allowed the fifth fewest points in NFL this season and was the driving force behind the Cardinals' first postseason appearance since 2009.
Bowles joins new general manager Mike Maccagnan and will attempt to rebuild the Jets who last made the playoffs in 2010.
