The Arizona Cardinals made the Sean Weatherspoon signing official today and also brought Cory Redding into the fold.
Weatherspoon has battled injuries of late but provides the Cadinals linebacking unit with some help at the inside linebacker position. Weatherspoon is expected to contend for a starting spot opposite of Daryl Washington – once he’s reinstated by the NFL.
Meanwhile, Redding spent the last three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts where he played in all but three games during that timeframe.
Redding isn’t an overly explosive or productive pass rusher (35.5 career sacks in 12 seasons) but he’s a steady performer who can also provide leadership both on and off the field.
