Arizona Cardinals LB Daryl Washington is in a holding pattern.
The Cardinals top linebacker, who was suspended for the 2014 campaign due to violating the NFL's substance abuse program, has still yet to be reinstated by the league.
Complicating matters is an additional domestic abuse charge that could result in an additional 4-6 game suspension once Washington is eventually reinstated.
That means that Arizona will be without its star defender for at least another quarter of this season.
The Cardinals have been waiting patiently for the return of Washington, but their patience may be wearing thin.
Recent reports have even speculated about Arizona pondering the release of Washington, although that scenario is unlikely.
Still no news on Daryl Washington
