The Arizona Cardinals' running game is nearly in shambles.
OL Mike Iupati is the latest Cardinal to get hit by the injury bug and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
Iupati was brought in from the division-rival San Francisco 49ers for one reason: to improve Arizona's stagnant running game. Now the team will have to do that without the services of Iupati.
The Cardinals were hampered by injuries and suspensions all of last season and 2015 is shaping up no differently.
In addition to Iupati, RT Bobby Massie is expected to miss three games due to suspension and Arizona's running back group is looking as vulnerable as ever.
The oft-injured Andre Ellington has been battling hamstring issues and rookie RB David Johnson has yet to see extended action also due to a hamstring injury.
The team recently brought in veteran RB Chris Johnson to help build depth and Arizona may be in the market for additional help on the offensive line due to Iupati's absence.
