It’s not that we don’t expect big things from Arizona Cardinals wideout John Brown, because we certainly do … but Brown has been injured off and on throughout the 2015 season so his output has been hit or miss.
Against the St. Louis Rams, Brown racked up 113 yards receiving on six catches, while being targeted eight times. If not for a 27-3 blowout in which the Cardinals controlled the game throughout, Brown could have had an even bigger performance.
Included in those 113 yards was a 68-yard gain from QB Carson Palmer as the combination of the veteran and the youngster continues to blossom. We talked about the relationship of Palmer and Brown during the offseason and it’s clearly paying dividends on the field.
Brown has proven to be capable of those big performances – demonstrating that ability earlier in the year against the Pittsburgh Steelers in which he totaled 199 yards receiving.
Arizona will hope that even more big games are in store for Brown as the team wraps up the regular season and heads into the playoffs.
