From the start of free agency to the end of the NFL Draft, from the start of OTAs to the end of mini camps, there's no shortage of storylines in the NFL offseason.
On Thursday, the NFL will once again attempt to take center stage in the sporting world, as the league is preparing to release its 2017 schedule.
The schedule is set to be released at 8 p.m. EST Thursday evening, but Arizona Cardinals fans received a sneak peak of a potential game Thursday afternoon when New York radio host Mike Francesa leaked the New York Giants' schedule on air.
Francesa said the Giants would travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in week 16 of the 2017 season, which could mean the franchise would host a game on Christmas Eve.
Last season, Arizona traveled to Seattle on Christmas Eve and played a Saturday game in week 16, so if the Cardinals wind up playing a Saturday game again, the team would host the Giants on December 23 instead of Sunday, December 24.
The Cardinals already know which teams they'll play this season, but the dates and times for each of their games won't be released until the league announces the full schedule Thursday evening.
Aside from hosting the Giants, Arizona will also host its three NFC West foes, the Dallas Cowboys, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tennessee Titans. The Cardinals will travel to each of their NFC West counterparts' stadiums, and will also play on the road against the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.
