Cardinals Eyeing Free Agent Depth

Depth on the defense and speed on the special teams have the Cardinals looking toward another UFA.

A league source reports that the Arizona Cardinals have begun preliminary talks with UFA linebacker Keith Adams.

Adams is an undersized (5'11"/223lbs) weak side linebacker who had his first opportunity to shine last season with the Eagles, but did not fair well in his first starting roll, despite 69 tackles.  If Adams came to the Cardinals it would likely be as a backup to Orlando Huff, and would be as much to replace the departed Quentin Harris on special teams as to play linebacker.

Adams would be a major upgrade over Harris on special teams, where he led the Eagles last season with 30 special teams tackles.

Oakland has also shown interest in the unrestricted free agent.
