In a game featuring the who's who of the NFL, two-time Pro Bowler Larry Fitzgerald still found a way to stand out. He and Tony Romo established immediate chemistry that would make Jessica Simpson jealous.
Romo looked for Fitzgerald on his very first throw, but the attempt fell short. He gave Fitzgerald a gaze again with an 11-yard completion on the same drive. A few throws later, the duo hooked up for the NFC's first touchdown of the game on a 6-yard strike.
All three of Fitzgerald's receptions came courtesy of Romo's arm. Other quarterbacks tended to favor Romo's teammate, Terrell Owens, who led his team with eight receptions, 101 yards and two TDs.
Darnell Dockett played his part in a defense rattled some of the AFC's best quarterbacks. Peyton Manning faired the best (11 out of 16, 147 yards), but Derek Anderson and Ben Roethlisberger combined to complete only 43 percent of their passes.
Dockett felt the blood rush to his face in the second quarter when he caused a neutral zone infraction for a 5-yard penalty. He was able to redeem himself by stopping Fred Taylor on a short pass.
Dockett recorded just the one tackle in limited playing time. Mike McCarthy switched up the lineup often, so Dockett was on a strict snap count. Don't expect that to happen again...until next year's Pro Bowl game.
