Training Camp Report: Wednesday

The Cardinals took a break from the grind of training camp on Wednesday morning and were rewarded for their recent hard work. With injuries starting to pile up and mental errors becoming a staple at practice, coach Ken Whisenhunt gave his team a much needed break. Kate Hinojosa is on location in Flagstaff and has the details in this exclusive.

Despite the need for progress, the Cardinals took a different approach in Wednesday morning's practice. After the team's walkthrough, which is the lightest task of the whole day, coach Ken Whisenhunt announced to the players that they would be resting for the remainder of the morning. The Cardinals ended up at the local movie theatre in Flagstaff, where they had an opportunity to relax and enjoy a movie.

Prior to their trip to the movies, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was back on the field for the morning walkthrough after rolling an ankle earlier this week. Rodgers-Cromartie's status was uncertain and it was unknown when he would be returning to practice. Whisenhunt later announced that Rodgers-Cromartie, CB Rod Hood and OG Brandon Keith will be attempting to practice tonight at Lumberjack Stadium. However, CB Antrel Rolle, who is still suffering from an ankle injury, will not be able to practice and is highly unlikely to play Saturday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Also in today's news, the Cardinals officially signed former San Francisco LB Brandon Moore and cut LB David Holloway from the roster. Moore's signing was set in motion after he was released from the 49ers last week. The main incentive for signing Moore was due to his history with Cardinals defensive coordinator Bill Davis. Moore experienced his best season as a professional playing under Davis during the 2006 season in San Francisco. Moore's addition leads the way for another potential cut at the linebacker position.
