Cardinals Scout East Coast College Game

The Arizona Cardinals have been building their brand more effectively for the past few years, even more so under the direction of Coach Ken Whisenhunt. But there are still some gapping holes, which will need to be addressed in the 2009 NFL Draft. Scouts are already in action. The Cardinals will be in attendance of a college game on Thursday for a laundry list of players with possibility. Draft Expert Chris Steuber is reporting that the Arizona Cardinals will be in attendance on Thursday for the Florida State, NC State game. Also in attendance will be: Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars and San Diego Chargers.

Here is a list of the players they will look at:

Florida State:

MLB, Derek Nicholson, Senior

DE, Everette Brown, Junior

CB, Tony Carter, Senior

FS, Myron Rolle, Junior

RB, Antone Smith, Senior

WR, Greg Carr, Senior

NC State:

OLB, Nate Irving, Redshirt-Sophomore

DE, Willie Young, Junior

RB, Andre Brown, Senior

TE, Anthony Hill, Senior

--The Cardinals will need a long-term replacement for RB Edgerrin James. Tim Hightower has been very impressive, but Arizona needs a ball carrier with homerun ability.

--The Cardinals will likely keep developing their defensive front seven.

--Even in a fully loaded unit, Greg Carr's athleticism and size would be appreciated on any roster.

*Editor's note, yesterday had reported the game was on Saturday, it is on Thursday.
