The Arizona Cardinals signed FB Dan Kreider to a one-year deal on Thursday, the team announced.
Kreider (5-11, 255) joins the Cardinals after spending last season with the St. Louis Rams where he appeared in 11 games (four starts) before being released on November 26. A 10-year NFL veteran, Kreider spent his first eight seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after originally entering the NFL in 2000 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of New Hampshire.
With the Steelers, Kreider appeared in 113 games (66 starts) and had 144 rushing yards on 32 attempts to go along with 60 receptions for 469 yards. He also appeared in 10 postseason contests (eight starts) with the Steelers including starting in Pittsburgh's Super Bowl XL victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
