Report Card: Cardinals vs. Vikings

The Arizona Cardinals handed the Vikings their second loss of the season and fans have plenty to smile about. Heading into the final games of the season are there any lingering doubts or hiccups on either side of the ball? Find out in this weekly report card.


PASSING OFFENSE: A -- Kurt Warner passed for three touchdowns, two to Anquan Boldin. Larry Fitzgerald's 34-yard touchdown catch was his longest reception of the season. Warner was not sacked.

RUSHING OFFENSE: B -- The Cardinals gained 113 yards on 25 carries, a 4.5-yard average. The club is never going to be run-oriented, but its running game has improved in recent weeks.

PASS DEFENSE: A -- Brett Favre was sacked three times and intercepted twice. The Cardinals controlled WR Percy Harvin. OLB Bertrand Berry had two sacks.

RUSH DEFENSE: A -- RB Adrian Peterson gained only 19 yards on 13 carries, and the Vikings averaged 3.1 yards per rush.

SPECIAL TEAMS: A -- Ben Graham put two of his three punts inside the 9. Steve Breaston returned a punt 64 yards, and Vikings KR Percy Harvin didn't break any long returns.

COACHING: A -- Coach Ken Whisenhunt and his staff deserve considerable credit for getting this team ready to play after the heartbreaking loss to the Titans. Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart split snaps last week, but Warner was fully prepared for the game. Game plans on both sides of the ball were solid.
