A Defensive Tackle Signed!

Tim Love of Harding University joins the San Diego Charger as an undrafted free agent. Love is a 6-2, 320 pound defensive tackle.

Tim Love won All-Gulf South Conference recognition in 2001, when he had 56 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. Had 74 tackles, 13 for loss with six sacks last season for Harding, winning All-Conference honors again in '02.

Love is the first defensive tackle to join the Chargers via the draft or rookie free agency. Many believed it to be a need position, but the Chargers brass did not.

Love was projected by soem to be a sixth round Draft pick. He need to work on his conditioning as he gets winded easily but his size is intriguing.
