In the fold

Kenny Williams of Chargers Update has just learned one of our draft picks, who was supposedly going to hold out is on a plane to San Diego right now in time for tomorrow's training camp according to his agent.

Speaking directly with the source, agent Wesley Spencer, Kenny Williams of Chargers Update has found out that Drayton Florence will be in camp on time.

"Drayton is on a plane right now. He's agreed in principle and will be at camp tomorrow," Wesley said.

"Mr (Ed) McGuire is a gentleman of gentlemen," added Spencer.

They feel like they got a "very fair" deal. Although we could not obtain specifics of the deal at this time, it is heartening to know one of the Chargers top three picks will be in camp on time.

Florence was chosen in the second round with the 46th pick overall and became the second cornerback in a row chosen by the Chargers in the 2003 NFL draft.
