Chargers OTA, minicamp schedule announced

The offseason program starts soon.

The Chargers will officially begin their offseason program Monday, April 18. Each team is allowed a voluntary nine-week offseason program, per the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Offseason workouts will be held May 23-25, May 31, June 1-2 and June 6-9.
Mandatory minicamp will be June 14-16.

Phase One of the offseason program is held the first two weeks, with activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only.

During Phase Two -- held the next three weeks -- no live contact or “offense vs. defense” is permitted — only on-field workouts that consist of individual player instruction and drills as well as separate offensive and defensive work.

In Phase Three, teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity or “OTAs.” No live contact is allowed, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
