Back in Action-
It was good to see #75 back on the field again. After missing time with a hamstring injury, Marcellus was back causing havoc for the offense today. Showing no ill effects from his injury Wiley was at full speed. It remains to be seen if the team will sit him out of this afternoons practice as a precaution...
DE Kris Dielman was back in action after missing time with an ankle injury he suffered against the Seahawks in the first preseason game. It was crucial for #95 to return to the lineup as he looks to impress the coaching staff. With little experience on the defensive line Dielman has impressed the Chargers and if anything is a legitimate candidate for the practice squad...
WR Kassim Osgood suited up for the first time in awhile. Still sporting a cast on his hand made it difficult to secure passes. He spent most of his time running routes...
Some players have no choice but to return from injury a little too early. Judgment day is near and players must find a way to continue to impress. AJ Smith was keeping a very close eye on practice today.
Missing in Action-
CB/KR Drayton Florence sat out this morning, he was said to have some ankle soreness from the game on Saturday. With his impressive showing thus far it‚s safe to say he won‚t need to rush back.
TE Josh Norman also sat out with a sore back. He seems to have lost a little momentum after tearing it up at the beginning of camp. With Stephen Alexander sitting out, Justin Peelle received the starting nod on Saturday night.
LB Jude Waddy left the game with an ankle injury. He was also missing in action this morning. LeMarcus McDonald saw action with the second team.
RB Jesse Chatman sat out, recovering from a mild concussion and facial laceration. Dahrran Diedrick and Nick Maddox took his place with the second team offense.
