Carolina at Houston
With David Carr on crutches it's going to be a rough day for the Texans. Carolina wins.
Indianapolis at Miami
Colts must avoid another slow start on offense if they are going to play well against a tough Dolphins defense. Brian Griese was impressive on Monday Night, but it was just the Chargers. Going with the Colts.
Jacksonville at Baltimore
Next game please... Ravens easily.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay
It's an up and down season thus far for the Buccaneers. Could it be a down one again against a team that swept them last season? No. Tampa Bay should win.
N.Y. Giants at N.Y. Jets
New York, New York. A place so nice, they named it twice. The Giants are coming off a shocking win in Minnesota where they totaled 450 yards in offense. The Jets have won 2 of 3 and were a Chad Pennington interception away from making it three in a row. Going with the Giants "on the road".
Oakland at Detroit
Two teams headed in the wrong direction. Oakland needs a makeover on the field, the Lions in the front office. Raiders win because someone has to.
San Diego at Chicago
See above game, but Chargers need major reconstructive surgery on the roster, the staff, and the front office. The Bears, well, they Monsters of the Midway they aren't. Chargers just because.
Cincinnati at Arizona
The Bengals are suddenly a force to be reckoned this season and are just a game out of first in the AFC North. Marvin Lewis has his team not only believing they can win, but expecting them to win. Bengals win in the desert.
Pittsburgh at Seattle
The Seahawks found out how hard the road to becoming a power in the NFL can be last week in their loss to Cincinnati. They need to learn how to close the door on teams they should beat. Pittsburgh is one of those teams. Going with the Seahawks at home.
Philadelphia at Atlanta
Dan Reeves thinks Michael Vick should play now. Vick says his leg won't be ready until December 9th. Is there any team where Reeves didn't alienate his star quarterback? Eagles in a blowout.
St. Louis at San Francisco
The Rams are rolling once again having won four straight despite having lost Marshall Faulk and Lamar Gordon in the backfield. The Niners can't figure out how to put a gameplan together in consecutive weeks. The Rams stay hot with their 5th straight win.
Washington at Dallas
It's gotten so bad in Washington lately that they've had to sign troubled DT Darrell Russell this week and expect him to see some time right off the bat against the hated Cowboys. It won't help. Dallas gets back up off the mat and beats the Redskins.
ESPN Sunday Night Football
Green Bay at Minnesota
Brett Favre hates the Metrodome. Inexplicably, he's 2-9 in his career there, throwing 12 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions. Vikings owner Red McCombs hates losing, calling his team's first loss of the year "an embarrassment". Hey Red, stick to writing the checks, okay? The Vikings will bounce back and beat the Packers.
ABC Monday Night Football
New England at Denver
If Danny Kanell had a tough time figuring out the Ravens defense last week, what will he do against Bill Belichick's defense that is 3rd in scoring defense? On the other hand, the Patriots have lost 12 of its last 13 visits to Denver including their last trip in 2001. But this isn't a fully healthy Broncos team that they red hot Patriots are facing and even if they were, I still think the Patriot defense would be too much for them. I'm picking New England to win.
