The San Diego Chargers bid adieu to linebackers Jeremiah Garrison and Ty Myers, cornerbacks Jay Hackett and Randy Jordan, tackle Jason Lenzmeier, and guards Isaiah Ross and Jon Skinner.
The Bolts had a glut of linebackers vying for perhaps a spot or two on the practice squad and decided to part ways with former South Carolina linebacker Garrison and recent addition Myers, who was signed after a tryout camp.
Hackett and Jordan were not in the plans with the increased depth at cornerback with Jamar Fletcher added to the mix and Kevin House performing well.
On the line, Lenzmeier had a chance until the Chargers signed two linemen this past week to compete along the line.
Ross spent the majority of his time at center over the past two weeks and did not excel in the role.
Skinner had to contend with the multitude of players who can play either tackle and guard or center and guard.
