Kris Dielman, 6-foot-4, 310-pounds, joined the Chargers as an undrafted free agent from Indiana. The former defensive lineman has successfully made the switch to the offensive line and has performed admirably, mostly at guard and special teams in 22 career games.
Bob Hallen, 6-foot-3, 295-pounds, spent the 2002-03 seasons with the Chargers and was re-signed with the Chargers on Oct. 27 of '04. He has the versatility to play both guard and center, seeing in action in three games for the Bolts last season, including the Chargers playoff game against the New York Jets.
He is entering his eighth NFL season and has played in 77 career regular-season games with 44 starts. He also has appeared in four career postseason contests.
Carlos Polk, a hulking 6-foot-2, 262-pound linebacker spent the majority of the 2004 season in injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Polk, a special teams standout, was voted Co-Special Teams Player of the Year by his teammates in 2003 after amassing 16 tackles. He won the award outright in 2002 when he led the squad with 13 special teams tackles.
Chargers re-sign Polk, Hallen and Dielman
