On Tuesday morning, Scout.com confirmed that Fran Foley, the Chargers director of pro scouting, was offered a similar job with the Minnesota Vikings.
There is no word on whether he accepted the position. Foley was instrumental in bringing in Steve Foley after scouting him heavily.
It would be a step up for Foley but he would not have general manager status. He would be director of pro personnel if he accepts the job.
Tom Heckert was originally the top guy the Vikings wanted to offer the position to but the Eagles elevated him to general manager before the Vikings could make a move.
