Chargers trade for Brandon Manumaleuna

The San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Rams made a trade on Sunday. San Diego received tight end Brandon Manumaleuna.

The San Diego Chargers dealt a fourth round pick in exchange for tight end Brandon Manumaleuna pronounced MAH-noo-mah-lee-OON-ah.

Using their fourth round pick, 113th overall as bait, the Bolts made the move to acquire Manumaleuna, a 6-foot-2, 288-pounder. The Rams selected Victor Adeyandu with the Chargers pick.

He was originally selected by the Rams in fourth round (128th overall) of 2001 NFL draft and because of his size resembles a sixth offensive lineman.

Manumaleuna has started 55 games since joining the Rams and has 66 receptions for 648 yards with six touchdowns. Last season, he snared 13 passes with one TD.
