Merriman sets his sights on the Chargers goal

San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman talked with Sirius NFL Radio hosts Adam Schein and Jim Miller on a variety of topics, including the team's aspirations this season.

Shawne Merriman talked to Schein and Miller of The Afternoon Blitz of Sirius NFL Radio on a number of topics.

Regarding LaDainian Tomlinson's MVP candidacy: "He prepares out there to have the games he is having."

Regarding the Chargers' goals this season: "We have taken it one game at a time."

Considering himself for Defensive Player of the Year, despite missing four games: "There are a lot of players playing extremely well this year.'

On being the team to beat in the AFC: "I would say so."

Merriman discussed many other topics, including his mental mindset after missing four games, how he spent his time, getting back on the field and a myriad of other topics in a 13 minute interview.
