Chargers sign Mark Simmons

The San Diego Chargers signed Mark Simmons on Monday. Simmons was originally signed by the Bolts as an undrafted free agent after the 2006 NFL Draft. Simmons was waived by the team on August 28, 2006.

Simmons was the leading receiver on the Kansas squad in 2006, catching 44 balls for 631 yards and four touchdowns. He also added nine punt returns, averaging 12.2 per return.

At 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, Simmons finished second on the club as a junior with 48 receptions for 553 yards, including eight catches for 135 yards against a then sixth ranked Texas squad.
