Quentin Jammer who is fresh off signing a 6 year deal was at practice yesterday. He worked as a member of the scout team and did not get much "practice" in.
Two other rookies did not practice yesterday. Toniu Fonoti (shoulder) and Justin Peele (ankle) sat out the session. Both were hurt making blocks last Sunday and Fonoti is listed as doubtful (25% chance to play) and Peele is questionable (50% chance to play). Strong safety Rodney Harrison (groin), cornerback Tony Okanlawon (knee) and offensive tackle Sammy Williams (hamstring) did not practice either. Harrison will miss at least the next two games.
Robert Carswell practiced for the first time since hurting his knee and having arthroscopic surgery early last month. He expects to play Sunday. Carswell, Vernon Fox and Keith Lyle will vie for the starting nod in this Sundays game in place of Harrison. Expect Fox to start since he played at Fresno St. with David Carr and has quickly picked up the game. His teammates have confidence in him and can sense what he intends on the field with little communication.
