--The Chargers' December winning streak continued. They have won seven straight games in the final month. San Diego has won 12 of its last 16 games in December.
--San Diego is 3-4 against its AFC South opponents this season.
--Antonio Cromartie's interception reign continues with a pick against Vince Young. His total moves up to nine, which ties a 47-year-old team record set by Charlie McNeil. With six more, he can tie the league's all-time record. With minimal starts under his cleats, Cromartie has intercepted nine times in the last eight games.
--Despite not practicing all week (calf) and sitting out the second half (sprained left knee), Shawne Merriman record two sacks. His second sack was distributed to Vince Young and backup QB Kerry Collins, who was taken down on his first snap of the game.
--This is Merriman's 11th multi-sack game of his career. The Chargers are 10-1 when he records two or more. Merriman leads the Chargers with 11.5 sacks. The two sacks against the Titans marked Merriman's third consecutive 10-sack season. He is just the sixth player in the league's history to earn 10 or more sacks in his first three NFL seasons.
--In a game where each team struggled for every inch, LaDainian Tomlinson managed 146 rushing yards. He moved into 21st place on the NFL's all-time rushing yardage list. Tomlinson took half the time of his predecessor -- Ottis Anderson earned 12,273 yards in 14 years.
--Tomlinson scored one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown in Sunday's overtime win. The total includes the game-winning score. Thirteen rushing touchdowns on the season make Tomlinson the only player in NFL history to start his career with more than four 10-touchdown seasons.
--Tomlinson finished just 5 yards shy of reaching the 1,200-yard-rushing mark for his seventh straight season. The only other player to reach that feat in his first seven seasons is Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson. Tomlinson averaged 5.6 a carry in Sunday's game. One attempt should secure that accomplishment next week.
--LT touched the ball on 61 percent of the offensive snaps, finishing with 31 total touches.
--The offensive line allowed five sacks in Sunday's game. Their total jumps up to 21 for the season and destroyed their tie for second-fewest in the league.
--Despite a touchdown, Antonio Gates still needs one more 100-yard game to equal the team record for 100-yard games by a tight end. Gates finished with 57 yards.
--Mike Scifres' 60-yard punt in Tennessee continued his streak with one or more 60-yard punts in seven straight games.
--The Chargers are 7-3 when Philip Rivers passes for less than 250 yards. He threw for 228 on Sunday.
