Early Injury Report

The early injury report is out and the Chargers have plenty of players lacing the wounded list. It is still early in the week and some players are expected to be upgraded as the week moves on.

Cornerback Ryan McNeil (Arm) is Out. He had surgery on Monday and may be back for the Oakland game wearing a cast.

Tackle Ed Ellis (Ankle) is Doubtful. Ellis hurt himself in Miami on Sunday and will not play this weekend.

Tackle Vaughn Parker (Elbow) is Doubtful. Parker has not responded well enough to get the nod come Sunday. Parker was able to remove the wrap on his surgically repaired left arm on Monday. Parker would wear a brace if he were to play but he will not, and is out for Sunday.

Wide receiver Tim Dwight (Ribs) is Questionable. Dwight was hurt in the loss at Miami and will play this week despite bruised ribs. These tough games are what he plays for but he will be limited.

Running back Terrell Fletcher (Ankle) is Questionable. Fletcher has had little progress in the past few weeks with his ankle injury. He may play this weekend.

Guard Michael Keathley (Ankle) is Questionable. Keathley missed last week's game after being helped off the field vs. San Francisco. He may return this week in a backup role.

Tackle Damion McIntosh (Ankle) is Questionable. McIntosh practiced last week but did not progress as expected. Barring anything major he should play on Sunday after missing the previous three.

Wide receiver Curtis Conway (Shoulder) is Probable. The injury to Conway has really hurt more than most have let on. He should return this week, he practiced on Wednesday, as the Bolts look to secure a playoff spot.

Quarterback Brian Griese (Knee) is Questionable. Griese practiced for the first time in weeks today. He wore a brace and he may play this week if he does not have any setbacks. He does not want to compromise his team and will sit himself out if he feels his range of motion is limited.

Tight end Shannon Sharpe (Elbow) is Questionable. Sharpe returned to practice for the first time since his Nov. 11th injury. Sharpe was expected to miss 3-5 weeks but has returned in 16 days. He should be ready to go on Sunday.

Wide receiver Ed McCaffrey (Neck) is Probable. McCaffrey aggravated a pinched nerve in his neck on Sunday vs. Indianapolis. He received treatment for the injury on Monday.

Defensive tackle Chester McGlockton (Elbow) is Probable and will play this weekend. He has been a very vocal leader for this team and will look to step his game up to make the playoffs.
