Alain Poupart: Oh, the team certainly believes it can go to the playoffs, and based on the New England game, maybe that's not so far-fetched. But the reality is this is a team that still has some glaring weak spots -- think wide receiver and secondary. The Dolphins might be able to make a push for a .500 record, but the playoffs likely are at least a year away.
AP: No, with a capital "n" and a capital "o." With all due respect, he appeared in way over his head in so many facets, it actually was a little distressing to watch. And worse than the questionable judgment he showed on too many occasions, the fact he didn't have the respect of his players gave him no chance to succeed.
ML: What is the one most important thing the Dolphins must do in order to win this weekend?
AP: The Dolphins' margin for error in this one isn't very big, so they have to do a lot of things right, but if I have to pick one, I'd probably go with not giving up the big play on defense. The Dolphins have a pretty good pass rush and can create negative plays for the offense and make it tough to sustain long drives. But they can't afford to give up the cheap touchdowns they gave up against the Jets and Cardinals.
