Conway May Sit Out Raider Game

It seems like the media is getting a raw deal when it asks about the injury to Curtis Conway. Conway has missed the better part of two games, one he was inactive for and the other he sat on the sidelines nursing the shoulder ailment.

Curtis Conway missed last Sunday's win over Denver with muscle spasms in his shoulder. He was hurt the previous week in a loss at Miami and netted zero catches.

Coach Marty Schottenheimer said he'll decide at game time Sunday whether Conway will play in the Chargers' home game against the Oakland Raiders. He remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Questionable means he has a 50-50 chance of playing.

"We're still trying to get him to a point where he's comfortable," coach Marty Schottenheimer said. "We'll have to wait and see."

Asked for specifics about the shoulder injury, Schottenheimer said: "I'm not quite sure, to be honest. All I know is that he dinged it. I don't know what the technical term is."

"When Curtis is comfortable in playing, then we'll put him back on the field," said Schottenheimer.

Throughout the past two weeks no specifics have been given out, leading one to believe it may be worse than any of us have heard. How bad is it? Well he may miss the biggest game the Chargers have played since 1994.

Vaughn Parker will miss his fourth straight game with an elbow injury. He will be replaced at right tackle in the starting lineup by Sammy Williams.

"We're going to wait another week for Vaughn," said Schottenheimer.
