--Despite struggling for most of the season, San Diego's safeties both left the field with something positive to talk about. Eric Weddle notched his first sack of the season and the team's first since Week 6. Clinton Hart knocked down the two-point conversion that would have won the game for the Chiefs.
--Malcom Floyd was not expected to contribute much this season, but he has emerged as one of the team's most dangerous offensive weapons. He had four receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs, his third score in the last four games.
--LaDainian Tomlinson had 22 carries for 78 yards, which brought his career rushing total to 11,279 yards and moved him past O.J. Simpson (11,236) and Corey Dillon (11,241). This places him 15th place on the NFL's all-time rushing list and soon to surpass John Riggins (11,352).
