Cletis Gordon: We knew the first half was uncharacteristic of us, so we had to come out and play our football -- no turnovers, play smart and play hard. And that's what we did. We played for 60 minutes and came out with a victory.
SF: Was there anything the coaches said to change the pace of the game?
CG: Coach [Ron] Rivera wanted us to pick up our intensity because we felt like we could play harder. And that's what we did. We just cranked it up a notch -- a couple of notches -- and started making plays and scoring points and ended up on top.

CG: Nobody really ever got down. They scored, they got up on us, but we stayed focused and stayed positive. We just kept fighting because the game is not over until it is over. That's what we believe and that's the character on this team. These guys are going to keep fighting regardless of what the score is. We are going to keep playing for 60 minutes and that's what we did.
SF: How do you think penalties affected the game?
CG: Penalties and turnovers affect us in a negative way, so we try to eliminate those things, especially throughout the week. That hurt us a little tonight, but fortunately we were able to overcome them.
SF: The two-point conversion didn't work out, but then Kassim Osgood recovered the onside kick and Vincent Jackson followed with the big catch and the touchdown. What were you feeling during that wild exchange?
CG: I was extremely excited, especially when we got the onside recovery, because I know our offense. We had three timeouts and our offense was waiting to explode. We were kind of slow today and the guys had the big plans and we were all excited. We were in scoring position and I just knew we were going to go down there and score.
