Steve Gregory: We just tightened up our coverage a little bit and just kept fighting. Basically, we just tightened up on them and tried to make some plays on the ball.
SS Steve Gregory
SG: Just to keep fighting. Stick with the game plan, keep fighting and make plays. That first half we didn't come out play the way that we can play, so we made a point to come out in the second half and play the way we know how to play.
SF: How do you feel penalties and turnovers affected the game and stemmed the team's momentum?
SG: They always affect the game. Turnovers are one of the biggest factors in a game. They affect it, but you just have to have amnesia and forget them and keep moving on with the game and work your way back and make plays. That's what we did.
SF: The offense delivered back-to-back touchdown drives in the final five minutes without the defense even having to step onto the field. What was it like to experience that from the sidelines?
SG: It was great. It was awesome. Philip [Rivers] and those guys did an unbelievable job of getting the ball down field and scoring a touchdown and the kickoff team did a great job of getting the onside kick. It all worked out.
