Pick Six: Q&A with Boston College's Ron Brace

During Senior Bowl week, SDBoltReport.com publisher Michael Lombardo went one-on-one with Boston College DL Ron Brace. See what Brace has to say about improving his pass rush, proving his reliability and standing out in a crowd.

Editor's Note: This interview took place on Monday, Jan. 19, which was the first official day of Senior Bowl week. Brace capped off the week by posting two tackles and a quarterback hurry as his North team lost on Saturday, 35-18.

Michael Lombardo: What do you want coaches and scouts to take away from your performance at the Senior Bowl?

Ron Brace: What I basically hope to do down here is to show teams that I can also pass rush. That's something I've been working on ever since I left Nashville after our bowl game. The big thing I've been working on is my pass rush and I'm hoping I can show that against the best of the best.

ML: Is that your primary offseason goal, to improve your pass rush?

RB: Yeah, pretty much. I think [scouts] can already see that I'm solid with the run game. I'm trying to show them a different aspect of what I can do.

ML: How much does it help to get to show those skills in an all-star game?

RB: I think it's really good, because it also helped me with the transition from high school to college. You get to know what [the coaches] are looking for and what their expectations of you are. Also, you get to know what it's like to go against the best every day, because in the pros that's what you have to do.

ML: For the team that drafts you, what do you add to their roster?

RB: I'm a hard worker and someone who does exactly what he's told. I'm a very reliable guy.

ML: Who are some of the teams you've had a chance to meet with so far this week?

RB: I've met with quite a few. I've met with the 49ers, I've met with Tampa Bay, the Cowboys, Green Bay, the Saints…there's quite a few.

ML: Anyone from San Diego?

RB: No, not yet.
