Brown is a powerful inside runner who knows how to let his blocks develop in front of him. His versatility is another plus, as he is gifted receiver, strong blocker and a valuable contributor on special teams.
As a senior at NC State, Brown carried 175 times for 767 yards (4.4 ypc) and seven touchdowns. He also caught 29 passes for 309 yards and a pair of scores.

During his stay in Mobile, Ala., Brown talked with SDBoltReport.com publisher Michael Lombardo about Senior Bowl week, the NFL Combine and his path to the NFL.
Michael Lombardo: Talk about Senior Bowl week in general and what it means to you.
Andre Brown: It's an opportunity for my name to get some more exposure. It's great to be around these players and playing with some of the best in the nation. And it's also good to be coached by some NFL coaches, so it's actually a hand-up. We're getting thrown in the fire early. I'm just looking to learn from it and take as much from this opportunity as I can.
ML: What are you looking to prove to NFL teams this offseason?
AB: That I'm fast -- that's it. I want to show my speed off. They know I'm big (6-foot, 228 pounds); I just want them to know that I'm fast and a pretty good pass blocker.
ML: Have you set a specific goal for the NFL Combine?
AB: I haven't gotten that far yet, but I have an idea of what I want to run, which is somewhere around a 4.4.
ML: What will you add to the NFL team that drafts you this April?
AB: I'm a big, powerful, strong back who's fast and can catch the ball out of the backfield. I'm a great leader, vocally and by example, but mainly by example. And I'm a skilled player who's willing to put team before self. I'm the ultimate team player.
