Considered the most complete 3-4 linebacker in the draft and a very good pass rusher, Virginia's Clint Sintim told Scout.com that he will hit the road early next week and visit with the New Orleans Saints on Monday, April 6th and Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, April 7th.
He also said that he will visit with the New York Giants on Wednesday, April 14th.
Scout.com's Senior NFL Analyst Ed Thompson reported two weeks ago that Sintim visited the Buffalo Bills on March 11th and 12th. Sintim confirmed that visit and said, "I had a great time up in Buffalo; that was the furthest North I've ever been. I had a chance to meet with everyone, the head coach and defensive coaches. It was a lot of fun."
The 6-foot-3, 256-pound Sintim is a strong defender who has great size, strength and quickness. He's physical at the line of scrimmage, gets off blocks cleanly and is excellent in pursuit. He's a good blitzer who's quick off the edge and has the ability to get to the quarterback. He lacks fluidity in his hips and plays a bit stiff. He has to get better depth on his drops and improve his coverage skills.
After a 70-tackle (13 for a loss), 11-sack senior campaign, Sintim had a busy offseason and participated in the Senior Bowl, Scouting Combine and Virginia's Pro Day. The next step is the draft where he's projected to be a second-round pick.
