Reese Dismukes ready to announce

Reese Dismukes, four-star center from Spanish Fort, Ala., has scheduled his announcement for this week. He has reeled in several scholarship offers from across the country, but has trimmed his list to Alabama and Auburn. Which class will he join?

Reese Dismukes will announce his college decision at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Spanish Fort High School. Dismukes has visited the two in-state SEC programs several times and ready to move forward with his decision.

Auburn picked up a couple of commitments in February from three-star cornerback Izauea Lanier from East Mississippi in Scooba who is a re-sign, and three-star offensive guard Spencer Region from Cullman High School.

The Tigers added one in March from Anthony Swain who is a safety prospect from Gadsden (Ala.) City. The most recent came last week from three-star offensive guard Thomas O'Reilly from Marietta-Pope, Ga.

The Tide picked up their first two commitments from in-state prospects in 2009 with four-star wide receiver Marvin Shinn from Prichard-Vigor and four-star outside linebacker Brent Calloway from Russellville. Alabama will re-sign Quinton Dial who is a defensive tackle from East Mississippi in Scooba.

It was February when the Tide added another commitment when three-star middle linebacker Shannon Brown, from Cook County High School in Adel, Ga., pledged his signature.

Two commitments joined in March from in-state wide receivers in LeFlore's three-star Danny Woodson, Jr. and Gadsden City's three-star Darryl Collins.

The Tide has been on a roll since tax day in April with five commitments joining the class of 2010. Malcolm Faciane, tight end from Memorial High School in Picayune, Miss., committed last Thursday to kick-off the weekend prior to A-Day.

Saturday morning saw five-star safety Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, from Dr. Phillips in Orlando, and four-star defensive end LaMichael Fanning, from Auburn, announce before the spring game.

The weekend wasn't finished when Sunday night four-star Jabriel Washington, from Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson, Tenn., announced his college decision.

D.J. Pettway, three-star defensive tackle from Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic, called Tuscaloosa Monday morning to give his surprise commitment.

Reese Dismukes, who is rated the No. 3 center prospect in the country, will join one of the two classes come Wednesday afternoon. Stay tuned to for complete coverage of his announcement.
