Depth Chart Projections, Version 1.0

The season is still months away, but it's never too early to project San Diego's final 53-man roster. Find out who's in danger of losing his roster spot and see which rookies figure to stick.

The following depth-chart projection sees a few notable players being released. Steve Gregory, who played well as the nickel back over the second half of last season, is likely the most significant.

Also left off are veteran defensive linemen Alfonso Boone and Ian Scott, who get caught in a viscous numbers game. The numbers game also takes down Jyles Tucker, who loses his battle with Antwan Applewhite.

The last player released is Corey Clark, as the Chargers decide to go with only eight offensive linemen. The versatility of Scott Mruczkowski and Brandyn Dombrowski makes this possible.

Without further ado, the projected 53-man roster.
