8:55 PM - The lights are off and the pregame show has begun. It's an amazing view from the top level of the stadium. Night Football is back at Arrowhead Stadium.

9:06 PM - Kansas City native Rob Riggle from the Daily Show did a five minute Video Narration about the Chiefs and the new stadium.

9:15 PM - The Chiefs have their own version of the Terrible Towels waving throughout the stands. The White Flags are waving and the crowd is charged up!

9:20 PM - First Quarter - Billy Ray Cyrus sang the National Anthem. The Chiefs won the toss and will get the ball first.

9:25 PM - Chiefs offense goes three and out. QB Matt Cassel was hit twice as the Chargers blew up the middle disrupting passes on first and third down.

9:30 PM - Chargers offense is rolling. After a 50-yard punt by Dustin Colquitt, San Diego began their drive on their own 30-yard line but the Chiefs defense stiffened thanks to a big hit by Safety Kendrick Lewis inside the ten yard line that would have given the Chargers a first and goal. 9:53 - As the rain begins to fall at Arrowhead Stadium, Jamaal Charles takes it to the house on a nifty 56-yard touchdown run. On the three play drive, the Chiefs ran the ball three times. Once to open the drive by Thomas Jones, then Charles for a short gain that led to a first down. Chiefs 7 - Chargers 7.

10:04 PM - Second Quarter - After a three and out by the Chargers defense, Javier Arenas ran back the ensuing punt 36 yards. But the offense falters and Dustin Colquitt shanks the punt for a pitiful seven yards. Wasted possession by the Chiefs. Terrible offensive play calling and once again Charles was on the bench for the first two plays of the drive.

10:12 PM - Another three and out by the Chargers offense. Finally the Chiefs defense was able to get pressure on Rivers. On third down he fluttered a ball to his tailback but Chiefs linebacker Mike Vrabel came up and made the stick forcing the punt. Arenas had another solid return that put the ball on the Chiefs 41-yard line with 8:59 left to go in the second quarter.

10:15 PM - Another three and out by the Chiefs. On third down, Cassel tried to hit Chris Chambers on the outside but he was well covered. Its too bad he didn't look down the middle of the field. He had Charles wide open for what would have been an easy first down.

10:20 PM After Chiefs Cornerback Brandon Carr picked up a fumble by Chargers running back Ryan Matthews, Matt Cassel led the Chiefs on a three-play 12 yard drive touchdown drive. Matt Cassel hit rookie tight end Tony Moeaki on a first and goal from the two yard line. Chiefs lead 14-7 with 5:55 left in the second quarter.

10:35 PM - Lightning strikes!!! After the Chargers offense failed to get a first down, Kansas City Chiefs return man Dexter McCluster takes a punt 94-yards giving the Chiefs a 21-7 lead with 2:00 left in the quarter. On the return, McCluster cut up field, burst into the open and had only the punter to beat. It was no contest.

10:47 PM - Chiefs take 21-7 halftime lead.

11:12 PM - Third Quarter - The Chargers drove deep into Chiefs territory but their drive stalled after a delay of game penalty forcing their seventh punt of the evening.

11:26 PM - With the rain falling, each team continues to struggle on offense. The Chargers appear to be out of sync offensively as Philip Rivers is getting more frustrated by the series.

11:35 PM - Chargers strike back! Going 91-yards on just five plays, Rivers hit Legedu Naanee. Again Chiefs safety Eric Berry was out of position on the play as San Diego narrows the gap to 21-14 with 2:23 left in the third quarter.

11:45 PM - Fourth Quarter - Chiefs had a promising drive killed by a holding penalty. The Chargers have the ball again at their own 10-yard line with 13:50 left in the game. Chiefs defense needs to come up big again.

11:57 PM - Chiefs take over on downs after the Chargers fail to convert a fourth and nine from their 32-yard line. Chiefs takeover with 7:03 left in the 4th quarter.
