It's not the border war but it's close. On Wednesday the Kansas City Chiefs added a journeyman wildcat to replace their departed Tiger. So who did they sign?
In the ever evolving 'Right 53', the Kansas CIty Chiefs signed former Kansas State Linebacker Mark Simoneau on Wednesday. He takes the place of former Missouri Tiger defensive lineman Atiyyah Ellison.
Back in 2000, the 33-year old journeyman began his career as a third round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons. Since then he's had stints at Philadelphia and most recently with the New Orleans Saints.
In other news, the Chiefs added Jeremy Horne to their practice squad. He was cut on Saturday when the Chiefs promoted receiver Verran Tucker.
Also wide receiver Dexter McCluster was back on the practice field catching passes. But he did not participate in any team drills. He told a reporter with KSHB TV-41 that he plans on playing Sunday against Buffalo.
That remains to be seen but we're told he wasn't limping today prior to the start of practice.
