Chiefs Final Roster Cuts

With Tight End Tony Moeaki and Linebacker Gabe Miller placed on injured reserve the Kansas City Chiefs trimmed their roster down to the league mandated 53. So who was cut?

None of the names on the list was much of a surprise. Among those cut by the Chiefs included: NT Harold Ayodele, FB Shane Bannon, LB Justin Cole, FB Mike Cox, DT Dion Gales, TE Charlie Gantt, OT Bobby Greenwood, G Chris Harr, G Darryl Harris, WR Jeremy Horne, OT Mike Ingersoll, LB Micah Johnson, LB Amara Kamara, S Reshard Langford, WR Quinten Lawrence, OT Butch Lewis, WR Zeke Markshausen, OT David Mims, G Lucas Patterson, S Ricky Price, TE Cody Slate, NT Anthony Toribio, WR Verran Tucker, LB Pierre Walters and CB Demond Washington.

If there was a modest shocker, it would be Safety Reshard Langford and project tackle David Mims and defensive tackle Dion Gales. But no more than those three players.

On Sunday, the Chiefs will likely add some of these players to their practice squad. But we would not be surprised if Kansas City tinkers with their 53-man roster a bit more to add some depth along the offensive line. And the team is very heavy in areas along the defensive line and in their youthful secondary.

Stay tuned to Warpaint Illustrated for those developments on Sunday and Monday. Top Stories
