Chiefs Sign Eight to Practice Squad

After finalizing their 53-man roster a day earlier, the Kansas City Chiefs brought back some familiar names on Sunday.

Added to the Kansas City back-up brigade, FB/TE Shane Bannon, LB Justin Cole, G Darryl Harris, WR Jeremy Horne, DB Quinten Lawrence, OL Butch Lewis, OL David Mims and DT Anthony Toribio.

Each of the eight added that were added on Sunday were in camp with the Chiefs from the onset of training camp. Based on the way the Chiefs put together their primary roster it's no surprise they went heavy on adding more offensive lineman to their taxi squad.

In addition, the addition of Bannon gives the Chiefs time to see if they can develop him into a serviceable tight end. With Tony Moeaki on the injured reserve list and out for the season, the Yale product should get some valuable playing time. Top Stories
