If the Kansas City Chiefs had any fears about their path to an AFC West title, that changed when the NFL unveiled their 2016 schedule.

With the NFL handing the Kansas City Chiefs one of the most well rounded schedules in recent memory, it certainly increases the chances this franchise can win its first AFC West Title since 2010.  So how many games will KC win in 2016?

Kansas City Chiefs 2016 Regular Season Predictions

Week #1: Chargers @ Chiefs – Last season the Kansas City Chiefs handed the Chargers a pair of losses. San Diego has a multitude of issues heading into the season and from all accounts 2016 will be another rebuilding year for the Chargers. Chiefs 23 – Chargers 13

Week #2: Chiefs @ Texans – In the playoffs last season, there was no question which team was better in KC’s 31-0 route of the Texans. This year though the Texans are better all the way around its going to take time for Quarterback, Brock Osweiller to get comfortable in that system. Chiefs 20 – Texans 14

Week #3 Jets @ Chiefs – If there is one constant in the NFL it’s the New York Jets. They imploded in the final game of the year last season missing out on the playoffs. This year with quarterback issues, I can’t see them winning at Arrowhead this year. Chiefs 27 – Jets 10

Week #4 Chiefs @ Steelers – Kansas City has never played well in Pittsburgh, and despite the fact this is a Sunday Night contest that could have playoff implications in January for both teams, I don’t like the Chiefs chances to win in their first of three primetime games. Steelers 37 – Chiefs 17

Week #5 BYE WEEK

Week #6 Chiefs @ Raiders – The Oakland Raiders are the true wildcard of the AFC West this season. On paper, they have arguably the most talented roster in the division on both sides of the ball. However, this team still has not learned how to win consistently but they will defeat the Chiefs on this day. Raiders 34 – Chiefs 27

Week #7 Saints @ Chiefs – This might be the fond farewell season for Saints Quarterback, Drew Brees but he’s not done yet.  I actually think this is one of the Chiefs toughest games at Arrowhead this season. Chiefs 24 – Saints 23

Week #8 Chiefs @ Colts – As much as I want to believe this franchise has learned from their playoff implosion at Indianapolis a few years ago, there’s no question in my mind that Colts Quarterback, Andrew Luck has the Chiefs number. Colts 31 – Chiefs 20

Week #9 Jaguars @ Chiefs – Though Jacksonville has a better roster than a year ago this isn’t going to be a walk in the park for Kansas City.  Sometimes KC plays down to its opponents and the Jaguars might surprise some very good teams in 2016. Chiefs 24 – Jaguars 17

Week #10 Chiefs @ Panthers – A year ago the Panthers were the best team in the NFC.  This year they should be that once again.  This is the Chiefs toughest road game of the year and I can’t see them leaving Carolina with a win. Panthers 41 – Chiefs 17

Week #11 Buccaneers @ Chiefs – This is a much better football team than many believe. Kansas City has always had issues with Florida teams on the road or at home. However, after a blowout loss a week earlier to the Panthers, the Chiefs right their ship. Chiefs 33 – Buccaneers 21

Week #12 Chiefs @ Broncos – Without Peyton Manning, the Kansas City Chiefs should have the edge no matter which quarterback Denver lines up next season.  The Broncos to this point of the season have a relatively easy schedule but KC won at Denver and year ago and will do so again this season. Chiefs 30 – Broncos 14

Week #13 Chiefs @ Falcons – Another place Kansas City has never played well is in Atlanta. The Chiefs though are a superior team than the Falcons and something tells me Andy Reid pulls off a big road win in Atlanta. Chiefs 28 – Falcons 24

Week #14 Raiders @ Chiefs – Thursday Night Football returns to Kansas City and the Chiefs, after losing earlier to the Raiders, won’t make it two in row as KC gets a home field advantage victory of their hated rival. Chiefs 21 – Raiders 10

Week #15 Titans @ Chiefs – Even though the Titans have stockpiled draft picks, they’ll need time to bring all these athletes into a cohesive football team.  Chiefs will have no problem with Tennessee on this day. Chiefs 37 – Titans 19

Week #16 Broncos @ Chiefs – Last year the Chiefs lost their mojo with a demoralizing home loss to the Broncos. This Christmas Night primetime game will likely be the Chiefs defining moment in clinching the AFC West this season with their second win over the Broncos. Chiefs 41 – Broncos 13

Week #17 Chiefs @ Chargers – With home field advantage on the line, the Chiefs might want to reconsider resting their starters for the post season. Kansas City has much to gain with a win over a Chargers team that’s already secured a Top 5 pick in the 2017 NFL draft. Chiefs 31 – Chargers 28
