The Chiefs will play a total of four prime time games this season but only one will be played at Arrowhead that will be against the New England Patriots on Monday Night, November 22nd.
The other prime time games are Sunday Night September 12th against Denver, Monday Night October 4th against the Baltimore Ravens and December 13th against the Tennessee Titans.
Chiefs President Carl Peterson commented about the Chiefs nationally televised dates and the difficulty of the 2004 schedule.
"This is an extremely aggressive schedule for the Chiefs," commented Chiefs President Carl Peterson. "It's flattering to have seven nationally televised games and we are pleased that four of them will be played here at Arrowhead. It's obvious how ABC feels about the Chiefs with four Monday night games and one Sunday night game on ESPN, but it's unfortunate that only one of our regular season prime time games will be played in Kansas City. The Christmas Day game, however, against our archrivals, the Raiders, is the start of a new tradition especially since it will be played in the midst of a holiday atmosphere. When all is said and done, this is a challenging schedule but one we look forward to meeting."
