Chiefs Announce 2004 Practice Squad

After finalizing the 53-man roster on Sunday, the Chiefs announced their practice squad on Monday afternoon. Kansas City now has all their 2004 draft class signed as Jeris McIntyre returns to the practice squad after failing to make the final roster yesterday.

There were no surprises as all seven members of the Chiefs practice squad signees spent time on the Chiefs roster this past year.

The Chiefs had hoped that Kansas State Guard Ryan Lilja would be a candidate for the practice squad but the Indianapolis Colts signed him to their 53-man roster late Monday afternoon.

The Arizona Cardinals signed defensive end Eddie Freeman to their 53-man roster.

The Chiefs players will have the day off on Tuesday as the coaches begin the final touches for their game plan for Sunday Night's seasoon opener. Top Stories
