Saturday Chiefs - Panthers Injury Report

Running back DeShaun Foster will get plenty or reps on Sunday as he found himself the Panthers new starting running back after Stephen Davis underwent knee surgery on Friday.

Panthers Notes: Steve Smith had successful surgery on Wednesday to repair his broken fibula. He will be replaced in the line-up with rookie receiver by Keary Colbert. Mark Fields is expected to play despite some very sore ribs.

DeShaun Foster will replace starting tailback Stephen Davis who had knee surgery on Friday.

TE Kris Wilson(Broken Fibula)

DE Vonnie Holliday (Groin)
SS Greg Wesley (Hamstring)

CB William Bartee (Neck)
LB Keyaron Fox(Quadricep)
LB Kawika Mitchell (Ankle)
WR Samie Parker (Hamstring)

CB Dexter McCleon (Shoulder)
CB Eric Warfield (Knee)

Dick Vermeil indicated Friday afternoon that both Vonnie Holliday and Greg Wesley would likely sit out Sunday's game. Vermeil still plans on using John Browning and rookie Jared Allen at defensive end. That means rookie Junior Siavii who looked good against Denver will play more in the middle of the D-Line.

Rookie Willie Pile will take over Wesley. The Chiefs really like his speed and instincts. Pile did miss practice on Friday attending the funeral of his grandfather but he is expected to beack in Kansas City today.

Kawika Mitchell should see his first action of the season but rookie Keyaron Fox might have to wait another week to get on the field.

William Bartee will play on Sunday despite his sore neck. He was carted off the field in Denver after crashing into Rod Smith on a special teams play. Bartee has looked good in practice this week. Top Stories
